I am a Christian
Environmental Evangelist!
This definition is loaded
with stereotypes, both positive and negative, but it best describes what I do –
traveling around the country preaching in churches and colleges about the
goodness of nature and our sacred duty to love, serve and protect God’s
creation.
My message is simple. “God is
a good God, God made a good earth, God calls us to be good stewards.” I use the
scriptures to encourage Bible-believing Christians to become strong and vocal
environmentalists.

A House Committee Hearing for Alpine Lakes
Washington, D.C. (11/05/09) — The Pratt and Middle Fork River Valleys are a step closer towards
permanent protection. After a Senate committee hearing last week, The
Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions and Pratt and Middle Fork Snoqualmie
Rivers Protection Act (S. 721/ H.R.1769) recently received a hearing in the House Committee on Natural Resources. The legislation would expand the existing Alpine Lakes
Wilderness by over 22,000 acres to include important lower-elevation
lands and designate two rivers of great importance to the surrounding
ecosystem as Wild and Scenic.
The proposal is a celebration of nearly two decades of community-driven
effort to protect and enhance the ecological and recreation values of
the valley. Designating key low elevation forest in the valley as
wilderness and the river corridors as wild and scenic would recognize
this community driven effort.
WWC has played a leadership role over the last two years in a
local coalition that has worked with many local
stakeholders, including local businesses, elected officials, religious
leaders, and recreation and conservation organizations. To find more on the diverse support, testimonials, and media Please Click Here.
