Join WWC at OutdoorsFest 2010

The Mountaineers and Eddie Bauer will be sharing their passion for the outdoors when they host OutdoorsFest on Saturday September 18th. The event will be filled with hands-on experiences, free workshops, music and entertainment.

Join us for a day in the sun and some chilling down in the beer garden (sponsored by The Noble Fir of Ballard) after dashing through the Maps to Taps 5K Trivia Run or trying out your rock skills on the climbing wall, courtesy of Outdoor Research.

A swirl of outdoor workshops, demonstrations of gear, manufacturers' booths, and other activities will surround The Mountaineers Program Center throughout the day.

This event is very family friendly so bring the kid's out and introduce them to climbing or stroll around our Family Activities Center. There will be something of interest to any age group!

OutdoorsFest will highlight outdoor retailers and non-profit organizations focused on conservation, recreation, and outdoor education. With a diversity of vendors, an outstanding turnout is expected.

At 5:30 pm, renowned climber, mountaineer, author and environmental activist, Conrad Anker will be recounting his adventures and speaking on Mountaineering and stewardship- challenges and opportunities facing the alpine world.

Tell the Obama administration that it's time to fulfill its commitment to fully support the national Roadless Rule or we risk losing much of the pristine old-growth forests that the Rule was meant to protect.

Take Action!
